City skylines have always peaked my interest especially at night. The variation of colors paired with the different building heights can always produce a beautiful picture. Also, I believe seeing lightning flash between tall buildings is intriguing. This inspired me tocreate a cinemagraph of a stormy night in Chicago. 

I used Pexels.com for both the image of the Chicago skyline and the video of lightning.

I then used Adobe After Effects to combine the image and video to create the gif shown above.
